Accra Hearts of Oak says goalkeeper Richard Attah did not tear his ligaments in his thigh, following the injury he sustained against during the Matchday 20 in the Ghana Premier League.

The clubs first choice stopper was stretched off the pitch in the 32nd minute and was feared to be sideline for sometime with a muscle tear.

He was, therefore, replaced by Richmond Ayi and was quickly rushed to the Presbyterian hospital in Dormaa for diagnosis on extent of the injury sustained.

But, Accra Hearts of Oak in an official statement confirmed that the ex-Elmina Sharks player has been discharged from the hospital with his situation less harmful as feared earlier.

“Goalkeeper Richard Attah has been treated and discharged from the Presbyterian hospital-Dormaa. X-rays conducted on him proved that there are no torn ligaments in the thigh as earlier feared.”, the club announced in a tweet.
