Ghana qualified for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar following a 1-1 draw against Nigeria on Tuesday in Abuja.
With the first leg ending 0-0 in Kumasi, Ghana needed a score draw to book a place in Qatar.
Playing in front of a fully packed crowd at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, the Black Stars captain, Thomas Partey scored the all important away goal in the 10th minute.
However, Ghana’s lead only lasted for 12 minutes with Nigeria getting the equalizer courtesy a William Troost-Ekong penalty.
Napoli’s forward Victor Osimhen saw his goal ruled out for offiside.
The Black Stars qualified to Qatar on the away goal rule.
Ghana qualified alongside Senegal, Cameroon, Morocco and Tunisia to the global showpiece to be staged in November.
