The Minister for Education, Dr. Yaw Adutwum, says he is saddened by the death of veteran actor Ekow Blankson who passed on Monday morning at a hospital in Tema.
The minister eulogised Mr. Blankson as one of ‘Ghana’s brightest gifts’.
In a tweet, Dr. Yaw Adutwum posted that “I am gravely saddened to hear of the death of Mr. Ekow Blankson. Ghana has lost one of her brightest gifts. His talent and brilliance will be greatly missed. I convey my heartfelt condolences.”
Actor John Dumelo also shared a tweet that: “RIP Mr Ekow Blankson. Rest well sir.”
Prior to his passing, the 50-year-old actor wowed Ghanaians with his incredible performances in movies such as A Woman Scorned, Pool Party, Frozen Emotion, In April, Borga, Checkmate and a host of others.
