CIMAF Ghana as part of its corporate social responsibilities has donated bags of Cement to three schools in the western region.
Beneficiary schools included Sekondi College, Archbishop Potte rGirls senior high school and Adiembra Senior High school all in the Sekondi Takoradi metropolis.
Presenting the cement to the schools, the Commercial Director of Cimaf Cement, Mr Joseph Kobina Aboo explained the rationale behind the gesture that, they received a request from the schools and upon the company’s desire to promote education, responded.
He says the company believes that education benefit every individual so this form part of the companies bid to help make it better.
He pledged the company’s continuous support to educational institutions in order to be able to train our children well and further urged beneficiary schools to use it for it’s intended purposes.
The headmistress of Sekondi college (Secko), Mrs Goode Abena Ampomah Kerma called on civil society organizations and the entire citizens to support the government to be able to build schools that will train children for the future.
She stressed that although the schools belong to the government, all the challenges cannot be addressed and it is in line with it that she commended CIMAF for coming to their aide.
The Headmistress of Archbishop Potter Girls Senior High School, Mrs Charllotte Asiedu Musah also stressed that the kind gesture from CIMAF will go a long way to support the school.
She further urged other organisations to emulate the good works of CIMAF cement Ghana since the government is doing its best through the free Senior High School policy to educate the Ghanaian child.
