The Omanhene of Goaso, Nana Akwasi Bonsompra I, uncontrollably shed tears on live radio as he made an outburst on the negligence of the government about the state of bad roads in his jurisdiction.

Speaking on the Angel Morning Show on Thursday, November 23, 2023, he traditional ruler outpours his displeasure about the appalling state of roads in his township.

Nana Bosompra said construction of some road networks in the area was awarded to contract under the previous government but after the Akufo-Addo-led government took over power, the construction works were halted leading to its current deplorable state.

He claims the health of the people of Goaso has greatly been affected due to the eruption of dust from the bad roads.

“I told Nana Addo that because of the dust all my gods have left this palace and my health has gone bad due to the dust erupting from the roads. We have six districts here of which only two belong to the NDC, here, we vote in favor of the NPP so why is the government treating us this way?” he quizzed while expressing his disappointment.

He also took a swipe at his critiques who he said has been calling him names for being on the neck of the NPP government for abandoning their road networks.

“Why should I be afraid in Ghana for telling the truth?. I am not biased towards any political party. I only speak the truth for every party. I do not love any party, I love Ghana and my town Goaso.” he added.
