Bawumia is more innovative in solving Ghana’s problems – Kojo Oppong Nkrumah

Kojo Oppong Nkrumah in a studio interview on the Angel Morning Show, on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, said the President has walked the talk with keen interest in providing shelter to Ghanaians most especially, the security personnel.

“If you take a look at President Akufo-Addo’s manifesto in 2016, he promised that housing units were going to be taken seriously and truly after assuming the Presidency, his commitment has manifested.”

He stressed that the president’s focus and efforts on the security services amid enhancing their basic needs continue to be a topmost priority in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, commissioned 320 housing units for officers of the Ghana Police Service at the Police Training School, Tesano in Accra.

The housing units, which are part of the Security Services Housing Project Phase Three, comprise 112 two-bedroom and 208 three-bedroom units. Additional facilities include an officers’ mess, a social center, two multipurpose playing courts, and a kindergarten.

This significant milestone aims to improve housing for the Ghana Police Service and other security services.

In 2018, the Government initiated Phase Three of the project to increase the housing stock and access to housing units for security services.

The construction of the housing units, which Messrs Amandi Holding Limited undertook, demonstrates the Government’s efforts to address the housing needs of security services and provide them with decent and secure accommodation.

The project is expected to impact the lives of Police Officers and their families positively.
