A Senior Communications Team Member of the Movement of Change, Solomon Owusu has stated that its future administration will begin what it termed as the lifestyle auditing of its appointees and state officials.
Mr. Owusu said on the Angel Morning Show that the lifestyle audit will be primarily about the evaluation of an individual’s worth before he or she assumes public office.
According to him, the planned initiative will help fight against corruption and corruption-related activities in the country, especially those in the public sector.
Solomon Owusu remarked that “Ghanaians are hypocrites; we are all aware that a female University graduate is granted a position for which she did not apply, but since she supported her political party and helped them win power, she is compensated with a post, house and a car.”
According to him “this is the primary reason why the lifestyle audit will be the point of auditing individuals because corruption leads to poverty as wages determine property value.”
He gave a scenario that about one million people living in poverty in the Ashanti region are a threat to national security due to their population.
