Police probe disappearance of CEO taken away from NCA premises

The Ghana Police Service has begun investigations into the whereabouts of the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of Next-Generation Infrastructure Company (Next-Gen InfraCo) Tony Mintah.

Mr Mintah according to the Police was taken away from the National Communication Authority (NCA) premises in Accra.

The Police in a statement however did not disclose when the incident took place.

The Service has urged calm among the public and report any relevant information to 0547927272.

Next-Gen InfraCo comprises of seven industry leaders who are to establish a new shared infrastructure designed to provide affordable 5G mobile broadband services throughout Ghana.

The partners in this initiative include Ascend Digital, K-NET, Radisys, Nokia, Tech Mahindra, along with two telecommunications firms, AT Ghana and Telecel Ghana.

The deal has however faced increased scrutiny regarding its implications for the telecommunications sector in Ghana amidst public concern about the transparency of government contracts.
