The National Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, has expressed optimism about the party’s prospects in the Greater Accra Region for the upcoming 2024 elections.
He is confident that the NPP will reclaim many of the parliamentary seats it lost in the 2020 election.
Speaking on Angel Morning Show (AMS) on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, Nana Boakye acknowledged the party’s previous setbacks in the region, where it currently holds around 12 or 13 of the 34 parliamentary seats.
However, he believes that the party has gained renewed momentum and is well-positioned to regain the seats it lost.
“This time around, we’re aiming to secure our seats once again in Greater Accra. We’ll perform well in the 2024 elections and make significant gains,” he said confidently.
Nana Boakye attributed this optimistic outlook to the hard work and dedication of the NPP’s regional campaign teams and a strategy aimed at addressing the needs and concerns of Greater Accra residents.
He explained that the party has focused on engaging communities, addressing local issues, and delivering on development promises, all of which he believes will resonate positively with voters.
“We may have lost some seats in 2020, but we’re coming back stronger. Out of the 34 seats, we are determined to increase our representation in Greater Accra significantly in the upcoming elections,” he added.
Nana Boakye concluded by urging the NPP’s supporters in the Greater Accra Region to rally behind the party to ensure victory in December, affirming that every effort will be made to turn the tide in favor of the NPP and to continue their progress in the region.
