The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ablekuma West constituency stated that she will be highly ranked when it comes to women in politics.
During an interview with Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah on the Angel Morning Show on Monday, December 2, 2024. Ursula Owusu stated that she has worked hard in parliament and her constituency.
She added that, due to her hard work in parliament they have seen the difference in the quality of her work.
She noted that, “ I am the first MP to build a basket ball court in my constituency.” She further pointed that, “ I have made improvements across all sectors in my constituency.”
Ursula Owusu highlighted that, 300 youths have been given employment into government sectors and because the youths in her constituency are too many than the jobs available, “we have expanded handy jobs through the Ursula Foundation that was established” she said.
She articulated that, her foundation was established to help her constituents and not for political purposes and there is no discrimination. “Known New Democratic Party (NDC) members have also benefited from the process” she said.
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ablekuma West Constituency, Honorable Ursula Owusu – Ekuful urged her constituents to vote for her after 12years in parliament because women are underrepresented when it comes to politics.
