A severe storm on Tuesday Marche 4, 2025, ravaged the Amakye Bare community in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District of the Ashanti Region, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.
The powerful five-minute downpour and heavy storm destroyed over 300 houses, with five persons rushed to the hospital for treatment after sustaining injuries.
Residents of the affected community described the incident devastation, stating that properties worth thousands of Ghana cedis have been destroyed.
They are now calling on the government for urgent support to aid in the recovery efforts.
Some residents who spoke to Angel News said the community is in dire need of assistance to rebuild and recover from this disaster.
