President John Dramani Mahama’s official X, formerly Twitter, account has finally been restored after reportedly being compromised on Monday, March 17, 2025.
The account was reportedly used to promote cryptocurrency, also known as “Solana Africa.”

Meanwhile, a collaboration between the Cyber Security Authority (CSA) and the management of the social media platform led to its successful restoration.
This aligns with the CSA’s assurance to the public that it was collaborating with appropriate bodies to address the matter at hand.
President Mahama, in his maiden post on the account after reclaiming it, expressed gratitude to his team and the general public for their support during the period.
“Thank you for your inquiries and offers to assist. My team, working with X support, has successfully restored my account,” announced Mr. Mahama.
