Recording artiste and entertainer, Edem, has cleared the air on rumours surrounding an alleged encounter with fellow artiste and model, Sister Derbyl.
Edem in an interview on Wednesday March 26, 2025, explained that the rumours resulted from a miscommunication between him and Sister Derby.
He announced, the two had met last year and had a conversation but things took a turn when Sister Derby shared a post about relationships on social media.
Edem responded to the post, sharing his opinion as a father of two daughters.
However, Sister Derby felt that Edem was attacking her personality rather than addressing the issue.
“Sister Derby and I met last year and we spoke, so I think it was miscommunication because, she said something on social media which was about relationship and I replied her by saying ‘as a father who has two children I think otherwise’ that’s how the conversation started,” he explained.
Edem revealed that he eventually met Sister Derby at the Marriott Hotel, where she expressed her displeasure at his comment.
He reassured her that he had not intended to attack her personality rather, shard his opinion on the issue.
“I think it was just a misunderstanding,” Edem said adding, “I wasn’t trying to attack her personality, I was just sharing my opinion.”
