Communications Team Member of the Movement for Change, Ebo Buckman, has described Rev. Ntim Fodjour, Ranking Member for Defense and Interior as an irresponsible leader.
He criticized Rev. Fodjour, stating that a leader who makes accusations without providing evidence to support such claims is not acting responsibly.
Mr. Buckman explained that, given Rev. Ntim Fodjour’s position and stature in politics, he should understand the weight his words carry in the eyes of the public.
“The allegation was made to have a certain effect. And I’ll state that until he provides evidence, he is becoming irresponsible as a leader of this country. If an ordinary Ghanaian makes such an allegation, its effect on the country is minimal. But this is an MP, a Ranking Member for Defense and Interior, who said his claims were based on intelligence. So I was expecting him to provide evidence afterward.”
“Looking at his caliber in politics, once he makes such a statement, the international community places weight on it. So if you’re making allegations against your own nation, it affects the reputation of the whole country,” he emphasized.
He criticized the Ranking Member’s posture on issues such as drugs and money laundering, noting that these are major concerns in global politics and economics.
“If you claim to be a good citizen and have the country at heart, and you have evidence that some individuals were going to use drugs and money laundering to destabilize the country, yet you choose not to disclose it, then you are not a good Ghanaian,” he added.
Mr. Buckman reiterated, “I want to repeat it, he is being an irresponsible leader.”
The Movement for Change member made these comments on the Angel Morning Show on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, during a discussion on the controversy surrounding Rev. Ntim Fodjour’s cocaine and money laundering claims.
