The Accra Regional Police Command has assured the public that firm action will be taken against individuals responsible for the violent incidents during the Ablekuma North parliamentary re-run held on Friday, July 11, 2025.
According to a release signed by Superintendent Juliana Obeng, Head of Public Affairs for the Accra Region, those engaged in the isolated cases of assault and disorder which disrupted the otherwise peaceful voting process will not go scort free.
The Police Command says it is currently working to identify those involved in acts of violence, intimidation, or breaches of the peace accordingly.
“Anyone found to have engaged in such acts will be arrested and taken through the due process of law,” the statement emphasised.
The service is also appealing to the public for support, urging anyone with information on the perpetrators to assist with the ongoing investigations.
The Command reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring law and order to that effect.
