The Ghana Publishing Company Limited (GPCL) has announced a nationwide public sensitisation campaign on gazetting, aimed at increasing awareness and understanding of the Government Gazette, its contents, legal weight, and relevance to everyday life.
The initiative, dubbed ‘Gazette 360’, will officially be launched at a press conference on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at the GPCL head office in Accra.
According to GPCL, the campaign also seeks to tackle the growing problem of fake gazettes being circulated and used across various sectors.
The company noted that part of the confusion and fraud stems from limited public knowledge about what a genuine gazette looks like, how it is issued, and where it can be accessed intended to correct this gap.
“Part of the confusion and fraud stems from a general lack of public understanding about what a real gazette looks like, how it’s issued, and where to access it. This campaign intends to fix that,” GPCL stated in a statement.
GPCL stressed that fake versions of gazettes create serious problems, including misrepresentation, fraud, and public misinformation therefore with Gazette 360, the creation of necessary awareness for the public is key.
“With Gazette 360, GPCL is creating the necessary awareness for the public to know the Gazette, use it and trust it,” it said.
