The Movement for Change has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, Founder and Leader of the Kristo Asafo Church, who died on Thursday, September 11, 2025.

In a statement dated September 14 and signed by the movement’s founder and leader, Alan Kyerematen, Apostle Safo was acknowledged for his contributions to Ghana’s religious, industrial, and technological development.

The release described him as a pioneering figure whose work spanned spiritual leadership, philanthropy, and innovation.

The Movement for Change highlighted Apostle Safo’s role in advancing indigenous science and technology, citing his development of herbal medicines, organic agricultural inputs, and the Kantanka range of automobiles and electronic products.

The statement also referenced his collaboration with the movement in shaping Ghana’s Automobile Industry Plan.

“His transition to the ancestral realm is a monumental loss not only to the Safo family and the Kristo Asafo Church, but to the entire nation of Ghana,” the statement read.

The movement extended condolences to the bereaved family and the church community, urging Ghanaians to honour Apostle Safo’s legacy through national recognition and continued support for his initiatives.
