Ghana’s Black Queens have booked their place at the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Morocco 2026 after outclassing Egypt across two legs.
The Queens’ emphatic 4-0 victory over the Egyptians on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the Accra Sports Stadium sealed qualification with a 7-0 aggregate scoreline, following a 3-0 win in the first leg in Cairo.
Coach Kim Björkegren’s side dominated from start to finish, capping their five-star performance with a flurry of goals.
Forward Doris Boaduwaa opened the scoring in the 52nd minute and doubled her tally just three minutes later.
Comfort Yeboah added the third in the 57th minute, her first goal for the Queens, before the unstoppable Boaduwaa completed her hat-trick in stoppage time to seal the win.
In a display of total dominance, the result marks Ghana’s return to the forefront of African women’s football.
This will be Ghana’s 12th appearance at the continental showpiece, having previously featured in 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2014, 2016, 2018, and 2024.
