Musician Black Sherif, has revealed a surprising side of himself beyond music, his deep interest in psychology and history, which he says plays a major role in shaping his songwriting and creativity.
Speaking in an interview on Angel Drive Show on Angel FM, Blacko shared that he has always been inspired by the wisdom of his parents, especially his father, whose way of reasoning has influenced his mindset and approach to life.
“I listen to my parents. My dad didn’t go to a psychological school, but when he speaks, it sounds like he had been trained there before,” Black Sherif said.
He added that he naturally enjoys watching educational and thought provoking content, particularly on human behavior and how the mind works.
“Me as a person, things that entertain me are history stuff and psychology stuff. I watch short videos of psychology because I love to think, and that’s one of my hobbies,” he shared.
The award-winning artist explained that thinking deeply is part of his creative process and helps him connect emotionally with his audience through his lyrics.
“Thinking gives me some ideas. There are some songs I write within 30 minutes when I think, and some songs too I can sit for an hour just looking for one word to fit in,” he added.
