The Deputy Interior Minister and MP for Lower Manya Krobo Constituency, Ebenezer Okletey Tei-Larbi, has reiterated that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government is committed to fulfilling its manifesto promises to Ghanaians.
Speaking at Krobo Odumase, where he donated 100 sewing machines and 40 hair dryers, he emphasised the government’s focus on enhancing technical and vocational training in the country.
According to Tei-Larbi, the donation of these sewing machines and hair dryers aims to empower the youth, particularly in Lower Manya Krobo, to become productive members of society.
He also promised to donate tools and equipment to masons, carpenters, and other artisans in the coming month as part of his campaign commitments.
“Unfortunately, we were able to mobilise these items last month, and we decided to call them and fulfil our promise and pledge that we made. What you are seeing is something that is ongoing, and we are just rekindling the whole thing.
“By providing these machines and hair dryers, I must say that by the middle of next month, we are going to be providing other tools for masons, welders, and so on.
“We have been doing that already; we are just continuing from what we have been doing for our people. I must say that we took inspiration from our manifesto.
“The NDC manifesto places a lot of emphasis on technical educational training, and this is to enhance and bring into reality some of the things that we promised our people during the campaign.
“So, it is part of the process of empowering the youth so that they become productive,” he stated.
