The Ghana Education Service (GES) has directed Mr. Joshua Vidzro, Headmaster of Dzodze-Penyi Senior High School, to temporarily step aside from his role following allegations of sexual misconduct involving female students.
In a letter dated December 6, 2025, and issued by the Volta Regional Directorate of Education, Mr. Vidzro was instructed to hand over all official duties, responsibilities, and school property to the Municipal Director of Education for Ketu North.
He is also expected to vacate the school premises by Monday, December 8, 2025.
According to the directive, the decision is an administrative measure aimed at safeguarding the integrity of the investigative process and preventing any potential interference.
The GES emphasized that the move does not amount to a presumption of guilt.
However, Mr. Vidzro, is required to remain available to assist with the investigation and refrain from any form of contact with the female students concerned or potential witnesses.
The Municipal Director of Education for Ketu North has been tasked with overseeing the administration and management of Dzodze-Penyi SHS until further notice.
