Member of Parliament (MP) for Asunafo North, Haruna Mohammed has said that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is scared to lose in the impending Kpandai by-election.
In a discussion on the Angel Morning Show (AMS), he mentioned that the minority caucus are terrified due to the good administration of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Mr. Mohammed questioned what was holding the NPP back to accept the re-run if they are confident their candidate has the people’s support in Kpandai.
“if you believe in yourself that you won the elections and you truly believe people trust you and will vote for you, why fear a re-run,” he queried on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.
He pointed out that similar incidents like the Kpandai issue have occurred before, and Parliament declared seats vacant, re-runs were done, and things went smoothly.
“There have been issues of similar incidence Bawku Adamu Sakande case the same thing happened and we went for a re-run during NPP’s era but we didn’t see such chaos, what has changed now,” Mr. Mohammed added.
