Popular American YouTuber and online streamer Darren Jason Watkins Jr., widely known as iShowSpeed, has expressed deep admiration for Ghana’s beauty following his arrival in the country.
The high-energy content creator, who arrived in Ghana on Monday, January 26, 2026, could not hide his excitement as he explored the country, describing it as one of his best experiences during his African tour.
“Ghana has such a beautiful scenery bro, imma get a house here,” iShowSpeed said.
Akropong became the setting for iShowSpeed’s first live stream in the motherland, where he was warmly welcomed and introduced to traditional customs. Before interacting with the community, he was made to observe traditional rites, including the pouring of libation, which he respectfully stepped on before proceeding to greet elders.
One of the most memorable moments of his visit was a refreshing experience at the waterfalls in Akropong, where he took in the serene natural scenery that left him visibly impressed.
iShowSpeed also paid homage to tradition by visiting the Omanhene of the Akuapem Traditional Area, Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo III, where he thrilled fans with an energetic traditional dance as a sign of respect and appreciation.
The YouTube star later arrived at the Black Star Square, where he received a warm welcome and continued to immerse himself in Ghanaian culture. He also sampled a variety of local Ghanaian dishes, which he openly enjoyed.
