Accra Hearts of Oak head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has expressed optimism about the progress of the country’s top-flight football, the Ghana Premier League.
He insisted that the competition has reached a higher standard and is becoming increasingly competitive.
Speaking after his side’s recent fixture against Eleven Wonders, Dramani highlighted the growing balance among clubs in the league, noting that the days of easily identifying weaker opponents are fading.
“To be honest, I believe our league is improving and it is now difficult to identify easy opponents. Yes, there are still areas that need improvement, but overall, our game is at a high standard,” he told GSN.
The experienced tactician emphasized that while challenges remain in areas such as infrastructure, officiating, and player development, the overall quality of play and competitiveness has significantly improved.
Hearts of Oak currently occupy fourth position on the league log with 35 points, behind bitter rivals Asante Kotoko, although both sides have the same points but are separated by goal difference.
The Phobians will host Bechem United in the Round 21 league fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, January 31, 2026.
