Legendary gospel musician Mama Grace Asare, best known for her hit song “Adwumawura,” has explained the reasons behind her absence from the public eye and her plans for a musical comeback.
Speaking on “Yadwuma Nie” on Angel FM on Monday, February 9, 2026, Mama Asare revealed that after the success of “Adwumawura,” her producer stopped working on her music, which affected the promotion of her subsequent releases.
She shared that her follow-up song, “Awanwansem,” did not gain traction due to lack of promotion and support.
“Afterward, I decided to wait on the Lord, believing that in His own time, He would provide a helper. I took my time and did not rush to make a comeback after the failure,” she explained.
Mama Asare credited her children for encouraging her return to music. According to her, they insisted that her God-given talent should not go to waste and have been actively involved in promoting her music.
“By the grace of God, I have seen significant progress in recent months, as Ghanaians have begun to embrace my music again,” she said.
As part of her strong comeback, Mama Grace Asare announced the release of her new song, “One Day,” urging believers to use it as a source of motivation and a guide in their daily lives.
