INTERPOL has permanently deleted the Red Notice previously issued against former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, reports indicate.

The law firm Minkah-Premo, Osei-Bonsu, Bruce-Cathline & Partners, representing the former minister, announced this in a communication dated February 13, 2026.

According to the communiqué, the Commission for the Control of INTERPOL’s Files (CCF) informed Mr. Ofori-Atta of the development.

It explained that during its 135th Session held on February 4, 2026, the commission determined that the Red Notice had a “predominantly political character” and was therefore non-compliant with INTERPOL’s rules.

“After a thorough examination of the elements before it, the commission found that the challenged data registered by the INTERPOL National Central Bureau (NCB) of Ghana were not compliant with INTERPOL’s rules and decided that they should be deleted from the INTERPOL information system,” the CCF stated.

The communiqué confirmed that the deletion is permanent from INTERPOL’s files.

It was issued from the firm’s Accra office and bears the signature of Justice Kusi-Minkah Premo Esq., Counsel for Ken Ofori-Atta, on behalf of Minkah-Premo, Osei-Bonsu, Bruce-Cathline & Partners.
