The Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, has promoted Made-in-Ghana chocolate on the floor of Parliament.
She highlighted its economic, cultural, and job-creation benefits.

She encouraged Ghanaians to consume locally produced chocolate to support farmers, empower women and young entrepreneurs, and retain value within the national economy.

Madam Gomashie shared locally manufactured chocolate with Members of Parliament and parliamentary staff to deepen awareness of Ghana’s globally recognized cocoa and chocolate industry.

This year’s celebration is themed “Eat Chocolate, Stay Healthy, Grow Ghana,” with the sub-theme “Chocolate for All: Taste, Share, and Care.”
Madam Abla Gomashie emphasized that Ghana’s cocoa heritage is a symbol of national pride and economic strength, and that consuming local chocolate supports over 800,000 cocoa farming families and creates jobs for the youth.

Ghana Chocolate Day remains a key national initiative aimed at boosting local chocolate consumption, strengthening value addition in the cocoa sector, and promoting pride in Ghana’s rich cocoa heritage.
