Ghanaian rapper, Paul Amankwah, popularly known as Kweku Smoke, has issued a public apology following a shocking incident at the Telecelturnup 2026 event in Legon.
The apology comes after a viral video surfaced showing a fan jumping on stage to hug the rapper. The moment, meant to be heartwarming, quickly turned alarming when Kweku Smoke’s bodyguards forcefully pushed the fan off the stage, putting him at risk of serious injury.
In his statement, Kweku Smoke expressed deep regret over the incident and urged anyone who knows the fan to get in touch so he can arrange a medical check-up and offer compensation.
“Yo this is bad…so sorry. If somebody knows him he should let me know so I have my Dr check on him and compensate him,” he said.

The rapper also used the opportunity to remind fans to exercise caution during live performances.
“Please, next time, don’t just jump on stage like that during performances,” he advised.
