Media personality, Ohemaa Woyeje, has urged Ghanaians to show compassion and unity in their response to Ghanaian women who have been linked to Russian men.
Speaking on the Y’edwumanie show on Angel FM on Monday, February 16, 2026, she stressed that many women face difficult life circumstances that may influence their personal decisions.
According to her, while some may enter such relationships out of emotional or physical needs, others may be attracted by promises of a better life. She added that many people engage in more serious behaviour privately but escape public scrutiny.
Ohemaa Woyeje cautioned against excessive criticism, noting that harsh public backlash could have severe emotional consequences for those involved. She encouraged the public to avoid condemnation and instead offer understanding.
“Don’t let us crucify them too much; everybody dey pup, but then don’t let your puping lead you into trouble,” she said.
She further stated that the situation should be seen as a lesson rather than a basis for lifelong judgment, expressing optimism that time would help those involved move forward and make better choices.
