Six people sustained injuries in a head-on collision at Akyem Enyiresi in the Eastern Region along the Kumasi-Accra Highway.
The victims, comprising four men and two women, are currently receiving treatment at the Enyiresi Government Hospital.
According to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), the incident occurred on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, near the WAPCO Filling Station.
The accident involved a Toyota Vitz traveling from Accra to Kumasi and a Hyundai Santa Fe heading in the opposite direction. Eyewitnesses reported that the Toyota Vitz veered off its lane, resulting in the collision.
The GNFS noted that the six casualties had already been rescued by bystanders and transported to the hospital before firefighters arrived.
Both vehicles sustained partial frontal damage, and fire officers subsequently cleared the road to ensure safe traffic flow.
