Ghana Gas CEO interacts with industrial off-takers in Western Region
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana National Gas Company Limited, Judith Adjobah Blay, has engaged industrial off-takers in the Western Region as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration and enhance operational efficiency within Ghana’s energy and manufacturing sectors.

The engagement formed part of a broader stakeholder outreach programme aimed at deepening relations with companies that rely on processed lean gas for their production activities.

Ghana Gas is mandated to process and supply lean gas safely and reliably for both power generation and industrial use across the country.

Since assuming office a year ago, Ms. Blay has intensified stakeholder engagement, interacting with key partners across major industrial enclaves, including Sekondi-Takoradi and Tema. She previously undertook a familiarisation tour of several facilities in the Tema enclave, including Sentuo Oil Refinery.

On Tuesday, April 21, the CEO led a delegation to the Western enclave, where she toured manufacturing plants and observed production processes and finished goods firsthand.

The team held discussions with management of several companies, beginning with JINTAO Sanitary Ware Company Limited, which produces ceramic sanitary products such as wash-hand basins and toilet seats.

At Wangkang Ceramics, management emphasized the importance of reliable gas supply to sustain production and appealed for a review of gas pricing to support operational efficiency.

At the largest ceramics manufacturer in the country, Twyford Group, Managing Director Li Wei expressed appreciation for Ghana Gas’ continuous support. He also requested additional gas allocation to power a new glass manufacturing line currently under construction, expected to commence full production in August next year.

The visit is expected to deepen collaboration between Ghana Gas and its industrial off-takers, while reinforcing efforts to support sustainable industrial growth and energy reliability in Ghana.
