Two individuals were rescued following a road traffic accident along the Kpeve–Peki stretch in the Volta Region on Tuesday, June 9, 2026.
The crash involved a Rhino truck with the registration number GX 3516-16 and a Toyota Voxy with the registration number GN 6973-25.
The rescue efforts were coordinated by the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), which reported that the victims were two males, aged 52 and 20, respectively.
The GNFS also salvaged assorted drinks and ammonium sulfate fertilizer from the accident scene to prevent further hazards.
The cause of the accident is currently under investigation. Motorists are urged to observe road safety regulations and exercise caution to help prevent future road traffic accidents.
