A fire has gutted the Melcom Warehouse in the Tema Free Zones Enclave, prompting a massive response from the Ghana National Fire Service.
In an update posted on its official Facebook page, GNFS said 10 fire engines and additional water tankers from nearby Local Assemblies have been deployed to support suppression operations.

According to the Service, seven fire pumps were initially dispatched to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby structures.
GNFS confirmed that no injuries or fatalities have been reported so far. Firefighters remain on scene working to bring the fire under control.
The Service added that further updates will be provided as the situation develops. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
