The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Agrokings, Nana Owusu Achau, has revealed that Agrokings is now the largest commercial-scale rice farm at a single location in Ghana, cultivating 1,000 acres.
He said the company started with 100 acres five years ago and is targeting 10,000 acres in the next five years.
Mr. Achau disclosed this in an interview on the sidelines of the Apostolic Business Leadership Summit 2026 held at the TAC Tower, Adenta West, Ritz Junction.
“About five years ago when we started our rice farm, we were working with about 100 smallholder farmers and we were doing about 100 acres. Today we are cultivating 1,000 acres and we are currently the largest commercial-scale rice farm at a single location,” he said.

“In the next five years, on rice production, we should be doing 10,000 acres of rice cultivation,” he added.
He said the company’s out-grower network has grown from 100 to about 80,000 farmers and is targeting at least 100,000, with plans to move farmers in the north from single-season to all-year-round farming.

On jobs, he said staff strength has grown from 13 to about 600 and will increase further by 2030 despite the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Mr. Achau also revealed that Agrokings has grown its disability inclusion from five persons: four deaf and one blind two years ago, to 93 persons with disabilities.
