The footage quickly gained attention online, attracting reactions from several social media users, including Afia Schwarzenegger.
Reacting to the development, Afia ridiculed the gospel singer, describing the vehicle as an ordinary Chinese-made car despite the excitement surrounding the gift.
She also questioned the authenticity of Empress Gifty’s emotional display, suggesting that the entire incident was deliberately staged for social media attention.
In a further allegation, Afia claimed that Empress Gifty had purchased the vehicle herself and arranged for her husband to present it to her as a surprise.
To support her criticism, the socialite compared the gift to a vehicle allegedly acquired by her daughter, Tracy, boasting about its luxury features.
“My daughter Tracy acquired a brand-new 2026 G-Wagon Brabus this November. May you never receive a Chinese-made car and be expected to faint over it. In Jesus’ name, say Amen,” she said.
Adding, she said: “Most importantly, after you bought the car and gave it to someone to surprise you with, the two of you are shameless. How can you borrow this? Take your stupidity away.”
