The Creative Arts Agency has announced the indefinite postponement of the highly anticipated National Candlelight Vigil in honour of the late Ghanaian music legend, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba.
The event initially scheduled for Saturday, August 9, 2025, in Kumasi, has been postponed following a directive from His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama.
In a statement on Thursday, the Creative Arts Agency expressed its deepest sympathies to the families affected by the Adansi tragedy and to the nation as a whole during this period of grief.
The President has declared three days of national mourning from August 7 to 9 in remembrance of the eight individuals who tragically lost their lives in a helicopter crash at Adansi on Wednesday, August 6,2025.
The agency noted that a new date for the Candlelight Vigil will be announced in due course.
