Crystal Palace and England youth international Eddie Nketiah is reportedly open to switching nationality and representing Ghana at the international stage, Angelonline.com.gh has learned.
According to seasoned sports journalist with Angel FM/TV, Saddick Adams, the player is now settled and ready to play for Ghana following previous discussions.
In a Facebook post by the journalist, sources close to the former Arsenal striker disclosed clarity on stories surrounding the player’s nationality switch.
He added that the source admitted Eddie Nketiah had previously spoken to the Ghana coach and some top GFA officials. However, his delay in confirming the switch was due to being unsettled at his club at the time.
“However, Nketiah is now settled and at 26, matured enough and ready to “give his very best” if Ghana calls now,” the post reads further.
The post states that, according to Nketiah, he has Ghanaian blood running through him, so his “identity is unquestionable.”
“Basically, he’s open to playing for Ghana now,” Saddick Adams reported.
