Hip-hop artiste, Kwesi Arthur, has postponed his North American Redemption Valley tour after medical professionals advised that proceeding with the scheduled concerts could pose a serious risk to his well-being.
In a statement released on July 16, 2026, the award-winning musician revealed that he has been dealing with an undisclosed medical condition for some time.
While he had hoped to honour his tour commitments, he explained that his doctors strongly recommended against travelling and performing, making it necessary for him to focus on his recovery.
Mr. Arthur thanked supporters for the immense love they have shown throughout the Redemption Valley campaign, describing the decision as one of the toughest he has had to make.
“You’ve made Redemption Valley one for the books, and this year has meant more to me than words can say. That’s why this is so hard to write. For a while now, I’ve been dealing with a health issue, and despite my best efforts, my doctors have told me that moving forward with the tour right now would be reckless and dangerous to my health,” he wrote.
The postponement impacts his planned appearances in Boston, New York City, Washington, D.C., and Atlanta.
Despite the setback, the rapper confirmed that his London performance will take place as originally scheduled, adding that he is eager to meet fans there.
According to Kwesi Arthur, taking time away from the North American shows is essential to ensure he returns to the stage in peak condition and delivers the quality performance his audience deserves.
“I have to postpone the North American dates: Boston, NYC, DC, and Atlanta. London is still on as scheduled, and I can’t wait to see you there. This wasn’t easy, but I owe it to you, and to myself, to come back and give you the show you deserve at full strength,” he stated.
The musician also reassured ticket holders that efforts are underway to secure new dates for the affected concerts.
He explained that tickets already purchased will remain valid once the revised schedule is announced. Fans who are unable to attend the rescheduled events will also receive details on how to request refunds.
Wrapping up his message, Kwesi Arthur expressed appreciation to his fanbase for their continued understanding, patience, and unwavering encouragement during what he described as a difficult period.
“New North American dates are already in the works, and existing tickets will stay valid once they’re announced. Refund details will follow soon for anyone who needs them. Thank you for your patience and for sticking with me through this. I’ll see you soon,” he added.
