Private Legal Practitioner Lom Nuku Ahlijah has urged the newly elected Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwadwo Fosu Boadu, known as Kojo Bamba, to prove doubters wrong in his new role within the party.
According to him, Mr. Fosu should ensure that his leadership changes Ghanaians’ perception of him.
The private legal practitioner’s advice comes amid Kojo Bamba’s criticism by many, especially some members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), following his former association with the Delta Force Vigilante political group.
Speaking on the Anopa Bɔfoɔ Morning Show on Angel TV, Lom Nuku Esq. however expressed academic views on Kojo Bamba’s election, indicating that one’s past does not define him entirely.
Thus, he believes the NPP Vice Chairman’s previous association with the disbanded political group should not be used as a yardstick for his current characteristics.
“At the end of the day, we in the public have every right to criticize and examine national issues. I would admit that the controversy surrounding Chairman Bamba is because of his past.
“But of course, we all know that your past does not define you, and there is a saying that every sinner has a future and every saint has a past. That is factual,” he told the host of the show, Saddick Adams.
According to the legal practitioner who doubles as an Energy Policy Expert, despite the missed views, Chairman Bamba has every privilege to change the narratives of people about him.
“Of course, your past does not define you, so Chairman Bamba has every opportunity to change to a new person. That should not be his defining characteristic; the main thing is to see his practice,” he stated.
Lom Nuku, Esq., stressed that now that the opportunity has been presented to Chairman Bamba, it is incumbent on him to “prove Ghanaians wrong.”
