Columbus Crew and Black Stars defender, Jonathan Mensah has announced that his doors are always opened for a return to the senior national team.
In an exclusive interview with Saddick Adams on Floodlight Sports on Angel FM, the former Ashanti Gold player revealed he will always make himself available whenever he’s called to put on the Black Stars jersey.
He said, even at his old age, he will still play for Ghana when called up.
“I will never retire from the Black Stars even at aged 40”.
The MLS winning captain is yet to make an appearance for the Black Stars in Coach C.K Akonnor’s era.
Jonathan Mensah played a vital role when Ghana won the U-20 Africa Youth championship and FIFA U-20 World Cup.
His performance gained him a call-up to the Senior National team. He featured in 2010 and 2014 World Cups and five AFCON tournaments.
He was named in the 2020 MLS Best X1 of the Season.
