The Ministry of Youth Sports (MoY), has announced free ticketing for the Ghanaians most especially those living in Nigeria to enable them to go and watch the Stars 2022 FIFA World Cup playoff game.

The move by the MoY is in a bid to show massive support for the Black Stars’ return fixture against the Super Eagles on Tuesday evening at the 60,000-seater Moshood Abiola Stadium.

The game is scheduled to kickoff at 6:00 PM Nigeria time and 5:00 PM Ghana time.

The Moshood Abiola stadium has been given clearance by CAF to admit full fans and 60,000 fans are expected to fill the stands.

In a presser, the Sports Ministry urged Ghanaians who want to attend the match are required to get in touch with the Ghana High Commissioner, Samuel Baah-Duodu for their tickets.

The Ministry thus wished the Black Stars well ahead of the game and entreats all and sundry to rally their support behind the team to emerge victorious over the Nigerians.

Similarly, the Federal Government of Nigeria has directed that all offices within the country be closed at 1:00 PM local time to make the supporters front fill the Moshood Abiola Stadium to its full capacity.

This is to ensure the Super Eagle’s charges are cheered up for victory over their fierce Ghanaian rivals.

“There is a need to mobilise support for the Nigerian Team. Consequently, I am directed to inform you that all offices will be closed at 1:00pm on Tuesday, March 29, 2022” a circular from the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation said.

With the first leg ending 0-0 last Friday in Ghana, both Ghana and Nigeria look to crack the hard nut to secure the ticket for the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Ghana needs no other results than a ‘score draw or a win’ to qualify for their fourth tournament while Nigeria needs nothing but a ‘win’ to also book a ticket to its seventh FIFA World Cup.
