The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has set the date for the 27th edition of the Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) games.
The delay in setting the date follows the postponement of the games due to the disastrous effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The games will thereby start on Friday, November 4, 2022.
About 4,500 athletes will take part in football, hockey, tennis and more.
The theme for the activity is “Harnessing sporting talents of students for national development through healthy competition using science and technology“.
Speaking to the Director of Sports for the institution, he is self-assured that KNUST is prepared for both hosting and competing with other institutions.
“KNUST is ready for the GUSA Games and as hosts. What we’ve already put in place is impressive. KNUST is very ready for action come November 4-19,” he assured.
