Outspoken football administrator, Wilfred Osei Kwaku Palmer has lamented that the halted Ghana Premier League would have returned amid the coronavirus pandemic, if he were the president of the Ghana Football Association.
Palmer, who felt unsatisfied with the FA’s failed approach to make football activities back in the country since March due to the effect of the novel coronavirus, has affirmed that the situation would have been different under his leadership.
The disqualified FA presidential candidate in an exclusive interview with Saddick Adams on Angel FM said:
“The Ghana Premier League would have resumed if I were the GFA President”
“I would have given a comprehensive proposal to the government to convince them on why football must resume,” he stressed.
He noted that, “The proposal the GFA sent to the government to ease restrictions to allow the return of football was empty. The FA must be glad the proposal was even looked at.”
