Kotoko ends Karela unbeaten home record, Hearts go 3 straight games without a win

The match – day 13 of the Ghana Premier League came with some shocking results with Kotoko defying odds including crossing River Ankobrah and amassing all 3 points at Ayinase. The Porcupine Warriors  broke the 5 – year unbeaten home record at Anyinase after beating Karela 2-0. Left back Imoro Ibrahim scored the opener for the away team following a rebound from his shot in the 36th minutes. Kwame Poku added the second goal to seal a top spot for Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

Legon Cities held Hearts of Oak to 1-1 draw at the Accra Sports Stadium as Kojo Obeng Junior got the equalizer for the Phobians at the 85th minutes after the away side took the lead in the first half courtesy Jonah Attuqyaye’s 21st minutes goal. Meanwhile, Umar  Manaf missed a spot kick which would have given the away team in the first half.

AshantiGold have gone 5 straight games without a win as they lost by a lone goal to Liberty Professionals at the Len Clay stadium while Bechem United stunned Great Olympics 3-1 at home.
