A teacher, Foster Amankona from Berekum has allegedly butchered one Francis Yaw Opoku to death over money at Berekum-Mpatasie
According to eyewitnesses, the deceased went to the suspect last Saturday morning to demand a loan he took from him.
This, the eyewitnesses claimed led to an argument between the two causing Amankona to allegedly butcher Yaw Opoku with a machete.
The deceased was pronounced dead after being rushed to the Berekum Holy Family Hospital.
DSP Andrews Okonengye, Berekum District Police Commander who confirmed the story said the police are still hunting the suspect and appealed to anyone with information about him to furnish the police for action.
Meanwhile, the widow, Emelia Baah has also appealed to the police to apprehend the suspect to face the law since the incidents of murder is on the increase in Ghana.
