Presidential hopeful and respected member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku, has commended Muslims in Ghana for their self-denial and sacrifice as they ended their month-long Ramadan fast on Thursday, May 13, 2021.
While wishing them Eid Mubarak, the former presidential aspirant congratulated them for the numerous prayers and acts of kindness during their fast.
“I wish all my Muslim friends and families a Happy Eid Mubarak, May this month of sacrifice, devotion, spiritual renewal and commitment to prescriptions of the Holy Book engender economic prosperity, social cohesion and abundant peace in our beloved country Ghana. Happy Eid Mubarak,” Dr Apraku said in specially designed artwork to mark the Eid-Ul-Fitr.
About Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku
He is Ghanaian politician who has been member of the second, third and fourth Parliaments in the fourth Republic. In the fourth Parliament, he represented people of Offinso North.
As an economist, the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Council of Ministers appointed him as Ecowas Commissioner for Macroeconomics Policy and Economic Research.
His responsibility is on Multilateral surveillance mechanism which involves regular assessment through joint surveillance mission of the economies of ECOWAS member states to ascertain whether the convergence criteria were being met.
He is also responsible for the provision of the economic and statistical data for member states and to help them attain the convergence criteria and the ECOWAS single currency.
