The National Ambulance Services (NAS) has reacted to a video making waves on social media purporting that some ambulances under the government’s “one constituency one ambulance” policy have been lying idle in an unidentified location.
Watching the video, the public expressed their indignations on account of the purpose for which the government under the leadership of President Akufo-Addo procured them, but the NAS through its Public Relations Officer, responded to the outburst clearing the air that the cars were at their designated area for routine servicing.
Mr. Simons Yussif Kewura said in a press statement issued on October 8, 2021, ‘’The attention of the management of the National Ambulance Service has been drawn to the circulation of a video in the social media indicating that some ambulances are parked in an unidentified location.
“The NAS would like to set the record straight that the said location is the designated Ashanti Regional workshop of the service located in Kumasi where the service undertakes the routine maintenance, serving and repairs of all the Ambulances in the middle and Northern sectors.”
