‘Give Funny Face’s phone to him’ – Court orders Police

The Kaneshie District Court in Accra has ordered investigators to release Nana Yaw Boateng popularly known as Funny Face’s mobile phone to him.

His Worship, Kofi Oheneba-Kuffour, who presided over the court, instructed the prosecutors to release the accused person’s phone to him because he has a contract with Lan T Soya Milk which requires him to promote their product for which reason he needs his phone to do that.

Funny Face also prayed the court that this is necessary to him to aid him promote his upcoming album.

According to the ‘Trotro’ actor cum comedian, he needs his phone to promote his ‘Aseda’ album, which details the struggles that he has been going through and would help society at a large.

ASP Sylvester Asare told court that investigations are still ongoing and the phone would be needed to assist them.

The prosecutor also argued that, the phone will help them conclude their investigations and serve the accused person with disclosure.

The judge, Kofi Oheneba-Kuffour, after hearing submissions from both sides ordered the release of Funny Face’s phone immediately after his statement has been taken.

The case has been adjourned to January 4, 2022 while Funny Face has been granted bail to the sum of GHc20, 000 with two sureties.

He has been ordered to report to the police twice every week.

Funny Face told the media that, he will henceforth post sensible things on social media.

“God bless Ghana police for giving me the chance to use my phone again now I will post sensible things” he said.
