Goalkeeper for Ghana Premier League outfit Asante Kotoko, Razak Abalora, has officially completed a move to Moldovan top-tier side FC Sheriff Tiraspol.
The 25-year-old has signed a three year contract with the Moldovan club after both parties agreed to some personal terms.
The former West African Football Academy (WAFA) player will replace the club’s 39-year-old goalkeeper Serghei Pascenco who is on the verge of exiting the club at the end of the season.
When he joins FC Sheriff Tiraspol in the coming days, Abalora will become the fourth Ghanaian footballer plying his trade at the club, which has already seen the likes of Edmund Addo, Patrick Kpozo and Abdul Basit Khalid at their disposal.
Having been Kotoko’s first-choice goalkeeper Abalora has kept five clean sheets in his 9 appearances in the ongoing 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.
Razak Abalora joined Kotoko from East Africa’s powerhouse Azam FC in 2020.
