The Founder and Leader of the Lord’s Parliament Chapel, Francis Amoako Atta, has admonished couples not to destroy their lifetime relationships due to valentine’s day celebrations.
The prophet noted that in a week’s time numerous marriages would be in shambles and many ‘beautiful’ relationships severed due to unrealistic valentine’s day expectations.
However, speaking on Angel FM’s Anopa Bofo Morning Show, he counselled that “life continues after valentine” hence the need to be modest in celebrating the season.
Prophet Amoako Atta was excited this year’s valentine’s day falls on Monday, instead of a weekend, because the day’s celebrations bring unnecessary pressure on couples, especially men.
He believes that because of social media people fake so many things, including love, but ignorant people take it so personal, hoping to experience the same in their relationship.
According to him, expressing one’s love should be in simple terms and not be in “unrealistic gestures”.
Speaking further on the subject of love, he stated that “love is not the guarantee for a better relationship”.
He advised women not to just say I love you without understanding the man’s temperament and his unfaithfulness in the marriage.
The clergyman outlined six secrete wisdom keys women must look out for before accepting a man’s proposal
I) Understand the person’s maturity
II) Know his financial security
III) Understand his love
IV) What is his spiritual leadership
V) Respect for parents and for women
VI) His time for you
The Man of God concluded that Love and sex are not for the immature and should not be taken lightly.
Valentine’s Day
Valentine’s Day falls on February 14 every year and this year i.e 2022, the occasion will be celebrated on Monday. Historically, the date was called Lupercalia in the ancient Roman calendar as many historians believed it to be the reason for the day being celebrated for love. Lupercalia reportedly celebrates fertility as the ancient tradition may have involved the men and women becoming a couple by drawing each other’s names from a jar.
